Heirloom Portrait Babies An Heirloom Portrait Baby is the most unique and beautiful way to preserve the memory of your infant or child for generations to come. This is your baby frozen in time. There is nothing else you'll find that will allow you to hold and feel your baby like you use to. Forget bronzed booties and framed christening gowns! Put the booties and the gown on your Portrait Baby and own the most realistic interpretation of your child you will ever find! Heirloom Portrait Babies are the exact same beautiful dolls as my reborn babies. They are simply made from a photo. I can make newborn infants and preemies up to toddlers in this type of doll. You choose the age you want portrayed, provide me with a good quality photograph(s) of the child at that same age, and the magic begins! To begin your journey of adopting a beautiful portrait doll, you must first contact me (reborn@neverlandnursery.com) and ask for a portrait doll questionaire. Once you have filled it out and returned it, I will be able to give you a price for your baby. At that time, if you are sure you want to adopt, you will pay the deposit for your doll, send me photos, and I will begin to look for a matching sculpt (face, arms, & legs). If you are unsure you want to adopt until you see the chosen sculpt, then a $75 non-refundable finding fee can be paid in lieu of the deposit to cover my time spent looking for a matching sculpt. Looking for a matching sculpt is a time consuming process and I must be compensated for it. The $75 will be applied to your deposit should you decide to adopt. I will need multiple photos of your child at the age you would like the doll to portray. Please send the best quality, clearest photos you have. If you have a definate preference for the eyes, make sure you specify open or closed, and send me a photo showing the child's eyes as you would like them for the doll. If I find more than one sculpt that I think will make a good depiction of your child, I will show them to you and you can help decide. Please realize that Portrait Babies “resemble“ your child and are not exact. Some will be better than others simply because of what is available on the market versus your child's features. The only way to get an “exact“ match would be to have a mold made of your child's head and a sculpt made from the mold and then you could get a close match. I do not do that. I purchase a sculpt that portrays the likeness of your child, made by a sculpting artist. Rest assured, I will be meticulous in my search, and I will do my best to match your child. All other facets of your child's likeness, such as coloring, hairlines & styles, markings, etc will be duplicated to the best of my ability. The end result will surprise you! Pricing for Heirloom Portrait Babies begins at $1,500 and could vary depending on the size of the doll and how much hair is needed, etc.
