I would try to etch the details into my memory because I realized how fast they would change and how quick their tiny features would disappear. Then came my children, and oh, how I did not want them to grow! But as the days passed and I would look back at their pictures, I knew the baby that was in that picture was gone. Newborning is the term used when a blank vinyl doll kit has been used. Since the finished baby is "new" and not re-done, it is considered to be "newborned."
Having said all of that, the term reborn has become the most commonly used term for any of these types of dolls, therefore, I will refer to all of them as reborns on this site.
